Alonso should be banned after his cheating on team-mate Lewis Hamilton out of pole position in Hungary

With Hamilton ahead of him on the timesheets, Alonso prepared for his final run at pole position. But despite being cleared by his team to leave the pits, the reigning World Champion remained in the pitbox for a few extra seconds thus preventing Hamilton from putting on new tyres and getting across the start/finish line in time to do another flying lap of his own.

Alonso's actions meant he claimed pole position while his team-mate was unable to come back at him. Hamilton finished second on the grid.

Whatever pressure he feels he is under to produce a third successive World Championship title, there is no excuse for what he did.

Denying Lewis the ability to complete his final run, clearly shows that Alonso is afraid of his team mate, and he will use any available tactics to beat him. This proves that he doesn't think his driving is good enough to do it.

Ultimately he should aspire to be the best driver, in order to win, not the best cheat. Furthermore, McLaren-Mercedes is just too dirty to be in F1. Remember they placed a spy in Ferrari team?
